Wine & Food in South America

Ceviche, steak, empanadas, wine, pisco... the list goes on!

Often one of the most memorable aspects of a trip is what we eat and drink. Bearing in mind that South America has some of the best restaurants in the world, the prospect of good food and wine is one of the main draws of visiting the area. The wine lands of Mendoza in Argentina and Chile’s Central Valley have long been an attraction for those looking to sample world-class wine and food but these days most of South America’s major cities are filled with world-class restaurants.

Lima in particular is renowned for being one of the best places to eat in South America, with a number of restaurants ranked internationally as being among the best in the world. That is not to mention the number of street food outlets and markets across the continent, which is always one of the best ways to sample fresh local produce and get an insight into the local way of life.
