At a 2 hour drive out of Lima, the village of Nasca has become famous for the strange drawings of “giants” that exist to the north. These drawings depict giant spiders and other animals. There is no real understanding of why they were drawn in the desert or how then managed to get the scale so correct (the best way to view them is from the air). As a couple of nights excursion from Lima, they are an interesting and individual sight to go and see.
