The Alvear Palace Hotel is one of the truly old world hotels in the capital, and is a Buenos Aires institution, and rightly so. With its high levels of service and marble covered foyer it is still one of the best places in the capital to spend a few nights if you are looking for this lavish feel. Located in the heart of the Recoleta area, we rate it as one of the top 3 in the city.

Set right in the heart of the smartest area of Buenos Aires, the Alvear Palace Hotel smacks of Old World style and charm. The vast entrance way, covered in marble, gives a truly awe-inspiring start to your stay. From there onwards it is the attention to detail and the service that brings it through.

While the accommodation itself is not as spacious as its contemporaries, this is more than made up for with use of only the best. From the Egyptian cotton sheets to the Hermes bath soap, they continue to aim high. Given that they are in reputable company, being ranked along side the likes of the George V in Paris and the Connaught in London, to stay in the Alvear Palace Hotel is to stay in an establishment.

Featuring a spa and swimming pool, the Alvear Palace does provide everything that you can ask for from a city hotel. Definitely worth looking into if you are looking to start or end your stay in style. With many of the cities main attractions within a short walk, such as the Retiro Cemetery, the Alvear Palace Hotel is ideal for those looking to explore this vibrant city.
