Casa Andina Select: Arequipa

The Casa Andina Select Hotel is positioned on Arequipa’s Plaza de Armas and is just across from the city’s grand cathedral. Convenient for bars, restaurants and the main shopping streets, the Hotel couldn’t be closer to Arequipa's main attractions.

With 58 guest rooms spread across the top four floors of the hotel, the hotel has a contemporary feel with white walls, laminate flooring and black and white photography. There is one suite but the majority of the rooms are classed as superior. All come with air conditioning, satellite TV, tea and coffee making facilities as well as an iron and ironing board. Eight of the rooms have a terrace overlooking the square.

Having been recently remodelled, the hotel boasts a spa with sauna and massage room, a well-equipped gym and a beauty salon. The hotel’s restaurant “La Plaza” serves Arequipeñan cuisine in a modern diner style setting. While there are plenty of better restaurants in town, the terrace overlooking the square and Cathedral is a great spot for a pre-dinner drink, while watching the world go by.

Above all, our favourite feature of the hotel has to be the rooftop pool and terrace, which overlooks two of Arequipa’s main landmarks, the Cathedral and the Mirador of Yanahuara Arches. While others will prefer the oldy-worldy feel of the Private Collection Hotel, for those wanting to be right in the heart of the “Ciudad Blanca” and have plenty of facilities available, the Select ticks all of the boxes.
