Hotel Cosmos Ananda is a beautifully restored 16th-century townhouse in the heart of Cartagena’s picturesque walled city. Featuring just 23 spacious rooms and suites, the property is a peaceful sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of Cartagena’s mesmerising cobbled streets. With a spa and two pools – one in the courtyard and the other on the roof with views across Cartagena – you have the best of both worlds: Modern, chic amenities within a truly historic building. Definitely a favourite of ours!

Location

The Hotel Cosmos Ananda is centrally located within the UNESCO city walls. Simon Bolivar Plaza, home to numerous museums, is just a 5-minute walk in one direction; and access to the fabled walls the same distance in the other. The majestic Adolfo Mejía Theater is just around the corner. A taxi to/from the airport can take as little as 15 minutes.

Layout

As a 16th-century townhouse, the property is split over four floors around a central, open courtyard. The ground floor has one of the swimming pools, spa treatment rooms and the restaurant. The rooms and suites are divided on the floors above. The highlight of the property is the roof terrace, with spacious decking, another pool, Jacuzzi and amble comfy seating.

Rooms

Hotel Cosmos Ananda has 19 rooms and 4 Junior Suites. The rooms are split as 9 Superior (the lead-in category) and 10 Deluxe. Twin rooms – consisting of two queen beds – are only available in the Deluxe rooms. All rooms have windows, air condition, fan, safe, closet, phone, Cable TV, DVD, mini bar, internet access and private bathroom with hair dryer, special collection amenities, towels, robe and slippers.

Restaurante Ananda is open for 07:00 – 23:00 and serves a delicious combination of Caribbean and Mediterranean cuisine, specialising in seafood.
