The Casa do Amarelindo is a small luxury boutique hotel right in the heart of the Pelourinho district of Salvador, with views of the Baía de Todos os Santos. The owners put a great deal of care and attention into the running of this hotel and the experience they want their guests to have, which is apparent in the close attention to detail in the rooms and the attentive service.

Located on one of the side streets leading off the main Terreiro de Jesus Square, the Hotel Casa do Amarelindo, is well-located for exploring the surrounding sights of Salvador’s historical district.

The back of the property looks out over the port area of the city and the top floor terrace offers panoramic views of the Baía de Todos os Santos; providing the perfect setting to watch Salvador’s New Year’s Eve fireworks.

The hotel is set within a restored, five story 19th century townhouse, with ten good-sized rooms laid out across three floors, a swimming pool, small gym, a restaurant serving local and international cuisine – adapted to local ingredients – and both a groundfloor and rooftop bar.

It is clear that the owners have put a huge amount of thought into this hotel, which is reflected not only in the facilities and the rooms, but also in the service provided. Thoughtful touches include a pressurised water system, running water in the rooms, which is safe to drink, and a late breakfast service.

The owners of the hotel also encourage their guests to explore the local area, providing maps on arrival and recommendations for live music and shows.
