Zank Hotel

Zank’s 16 rooms are divided between a beautiful 19th century house and the modern wing of the hotel, separated by the ground-floor restaurant and a long decked passageway. Split into three categories, depending on size and design, all rooms boast large glass windows, which look out towards the sea.

Each room is designed tastefully with dark feature walls, wooden floors and carefully selected pieces of furniture. Throughout the hotel, modern pieces of artwork and furniture by renowned Brazilian designers and artists go side-by-side with handpicked antiques, continuing the theme of combining the classical with the new, taken from the building’s architecture.

With two separate outdoor decking areas, despite being a fairly small hotel, the Zank gives off the impression of offering lots of space and privacy. Its onsite restaurant serves an imaginative, well-researched menu, which is heavily rooted in the use of regional and exotic ingredients and traditional cooking techniques. With a beautiful rooftop bar in addition, you have everything you need to get the evening off to a good start before heading off to the bars and music venues of Rio Vermelho.
