Hotel Ismael312

Just off Monjitas on a quiet street overlooking Parque Forestal, Ismael 312 is only a short walk away from Bellas Artes, Cerro Santa Lucía and Bellavista. With easy access to the bars and restaurants of Lastarria and the metro stations of Bellas Artes and Baquedano, it’s well located for exploring all that Santiago has to offer.

The hotel has 44 rooms, which are split into park view, or street view rooms and a suite. All of the rooms are simply decorated with dark feature walls, modern fixtures and fittings and those facing the park have a small balcony.

We really liked the design and layout of this hotel, in particular, the open stairwell that carries light from the roof all the way down to the lobby and café on the ground floor and is decorated with indigenous artwork. On the top floor of the hotel is a small swimming pool and terrace and on the ground and lower ground floors there is a lounge and café with plenty of corners to sit back with a book and relax.

While the hotel doesn’t go overboard on facilities, it prides itself on offering guests as much flexibility as possible. A simple breakfast from the hotel’s café is included in the room rates but there is no set breakfast time. They will also try and work around arrival and departure times to ensure guests aren’t waiting around to check in or out. Overall, one of our favourites!
