The sister hotel to the Iguazu Grand, the Panoramic Hotel can boast the best views of any the hotels in Puerto Iguazu. Looking out over the meeting point of the Parana and the Iguazu, across to the banks of Brazil and Paraguay, the setting for the hotel could not really be better. One of the major benefits of the hotel is that this view has really been made a feature of and so the pool and all the main areas also look outwards.

A newer addition to the hotel portfolio for the same owners as the Iguazu Grand, the Panoramic Hotel has been well thought and, despite not being a Small Luxury Hotel, it probably pips its sister in our view one most fronts…the main being the views that it offers.

As we have grumbled before, we are not huge fans of casino hotels as it tends to make the staff inattentive due to the numbers of people coming in and out all the time and thus detracts from the overall experience. This does not however, seem to be the case in the Panoramic Hotel. This is still a casino hotel, but it has nowhere near the same footfall as its sister, the Iguazu Grand.

The rooms and general facilities are great, with the pool edge dropping away to meet the horizon and a superb vista out across the jungle. The rooms are simple and contemporary in their design and it is well worth upgrading to a view room as this is really the reason to stay in the hotel. Along with a good location in the town (although it is a little further to get to the falls from this side) and good levels of service, behind the Sheraton and the Loi Suites, this would be our next choice.
