One of the quieter and more intimate properties in Santiago, the Meridiano Sur is a great option for those that prefer the feel of a guesthouse to the relative anonymity of staying in a hotel. Featuring small but comfortable rooms, in one of the quieter, suburbs of the city, the Meridiano Sur is a good choice for a few days while exploring the area.
The Atton el Bosque, built in 2007, is a good example of the newer wave of hotels being introduced by developers rather than hoteliers. Not that this is a criticism as this is a great hotel, at a very good price, in one of the best areas of the city for dining in one of the many high quality restaurants in Santiago.
As with our opinion of the Aubrey, if you are looking to stay in a chic and modern hotel while in the capital, then you could not do too much better than considering the W Santiago. This modern and sleek property is leading the way in bringing Santiago into the 21st century and has played host to such big names as Beyonce amongst others.
Located in the chic Bellavista region on the capital, the Aubrey is a relatively new venture from the owners of the superb Pasta e Vino restaurant in the nearby Valparaiso. Definitely one of the most designed of the city’s hotels, the hotel features a second of the award winning restaurant, but for guests only, amongst other things.
