Villa Etnia

While Villa Etnia is the furthest hotel from the beach – about 20 minutes walk from Praia do Trancoso – the bars, restaurants and cafés of the Quadrado are less than a 5-minute walk away. Set back from the street, within a forest garden with banana, mango and Pau Brazil trees complete with monkeys and tropical birds, the Villa Etnia offers its own seclusion, not far from the centre of town.

Guest accommodation is dotted around the gardens in 8 bungalow rooms and villas, which are all decorated individually with furniture and artwork inspired by the owners of the hotels’ travels around the world. The double guest rooms are slightly simpler with a bedroom, bathroom and balcony while the Master Suite Bungalows have their own lounge and are more spacious.

The hotel also has two luxurious two-story ‘casas’ which are perfect for families and groups of friends with two en-suite bedrooms, a kitchen – where the hotel’s cook will prepare meals for you, a lounge and dining area and long decked balconies on each floor.

Visible from all of the rooms is the hotel’s large swimming pool with a stylish covered restaurant/bar area filled with soft white sofas and tables and chairs. When lit up at night, it’s the perfect spot for relaxing with a caiprinha at the end of the day.
