Just one beach is not enough... On this itinerary you get to appreciate the best beaches... Brazil style. Start in Rio where you will soon get sucked into the energy and vitality of the place; cycle to the famous Copacabana and Ipanema beaches where the locals go to be seen, samba by night to the beat of the Carnival in the Lapa district with a caipirinha or two at the ready. When it all gets too fun, escape to Ilha Grande and Paraty for a change of pace and relax amongst azure waters, palm trees and sumptuous seafood dinners.

DAY
1

Travel to Rio

Fly direct to Rio de Janeiro with British Airways or connect through a European hub.

DAY
2-4

Rio de Janeiro

Met and transferred to the Hotel Miramar by Windsor in Copacabana to stay for 2 nights on a B&B basis. Spend the rest of the day at the beach or exploring Rio's "Zona Sul", taking in the cafés of Ipanema or the tranquil Botanical Gardens. Includes a half-day private tour on Day 3 to visit Sugarloaf Mountain or the Statue of Christ the Redeemer.

DAY
5-7

Ilha Grande

In the morning of Day 5, you will be transferred along the coast to Ilha Grande where you’ll have 3 days to soak up the rugged rainforest backdrop behind idyllic tropical beaches. With only a handful of people on the island, this is a true escape from the busy beaches and energised pace of Rio life.

DAY
8-10

Paraty

Transfer by ferry and road to Paraty, which was first founded by Portuguese settlers in 1667. This colonial town has fast become popular with visitors in the last few years as a destination to explore along Brazil’s Costa Verde with good restaurants and bars for the evening. Here take a boat out to the nearby islands, hike to a nearby waterfall surrounded by lush Atlantic Forest, or sample cachaça at one of the town's distilleries.

DAY
11-12

The Iguazu Falls

Transferred back to Rio in the early morning to connect onto your flight to Iguazu where you’ll have 2 days to enjoy one of the most incredible wonders of the world. You will start your exploration with a full day tour of the Falls on the Argentinian side. Be prepared to get very close and personal (and wet!) by the famous Devil’s Throat viewing platform!

DAY
13

Head Home

After a half day tour of the falls on the Brazilian side, transfer back to the airport to fly back up to Rio or São Paolo to connect onto your international flight home.

Please note that the above is on a B&B basis unless otherwise shown and the cost does not include international flights.
