The Very Best!
The sky is very much the limit at this price bracket
Obviously, when you are looking at this sort of price level, the sky is very much the limit as what you can do. The itinerary we have laid out below is only a sample of the hotels and experiences that Argentina has to offer…but this is definitely up there in our view as to the ultimate trip for those that want to take in the most famous and spectacular of the country and region. The contrasts from the marine life of the coast to the glacial flows due west, the superb food and wine and the luck vegetation of the Iguazu Falls all combine to really give an outstanding itinerary.
Make your way to Buenos Aires
Fly to Buenos Aires international airport and met on arrival.
Buenos Aires
Met on arrival and transferred to the Park Hyatt - Palacio Duhau to stay for the next 3 nights on a B&B basis. This outstanding hotel is a clever marriage of the new and the old. Formerly a private house and owned by one of the most powerful families in Argentina, the old section of the hotel features a tea room, and open verandah restaurant that looks out over the private gardens and back to the new section. Featuring a world class restaurant, superb spa and being located in the heart of the Recoletta district, this is definitely the best hotel in the city at the moment.
Peninsula Valdes
Transferred to the domestic airport in time for the flight down to Trelew, in Patagonia. Met on arrival and transferred by your private driver/guide through to the Peninsula Valdes for an afternoon exploring. This small peninsula is the perfect place to escape from it all, with fantastic marine wildlife all around. Predominantly known for the Southern Right whales that come into the area from the beginning of June, there are plenty of other activities and animals to take a look at such as elephant seals, orcas and many more. - includes a whale watching trip on day 3, the Estancia also offers horse riding, walks and much more
El Calafate
Met and transferred to the airport for the flight across to El Calafate. Met on arrival and transferred to Eolo to stay for 3 nights on a B&B basis. Set just outside the town, the Eolo is a stunning property that has really managed to capture the very essence of the Patagonian steppe. Each of the rooms, while fairly simple, really brings the outside in, in total comfort. With a staggering wine list, superb food and the best service we have experienced in South America, this is truly the place from which to explore the nearby Perito Moreno Glacier and the Los Glaciares National Park. - includes all activities
Mendoza and the winelands
Transferred in the morning back to the airport in time for the flight up to Mendoza, the centre of the Argentine wine growing district. Met on arrival and transferred to the superb Cavas Wine Lodge to stay for 3 nights on a B&B basis. A series of Gaudi-esque villas, each of the rooms in the Cavas has all the amenities that you could possible look for, private plunge pools, rooftop area etc. On top of this, they are all placed amongst the vines of the lodge and so the feeling immersion could not be more complete. The lodge has wine tasting evenings and a whole host of activities. - all activities are included
The Iguazu Falls
Met on arrival and drive through to the Brazilian side of the falls to stay in the exceptional Hotel las Cataratas, right on the falls themselves. This grand hotel was the first to be located in this area and the vast entrance and elegant rooms hark back to another time and place. The service here is definitely of the very highest order and, with the falls only a short walk away, this is the perfect way to round out the trip!
Fly home
Transferred in the morning back to the airport in time for the flight back to Sao Paolo to connect onto your international flights home.
